Once, in spring 2005, Mr. Frank Kreisz – enthusiastic fisherman and hunter – discovered various wild game items unexpectedly accumulated in his freezer. As a generous and imaginative person, Frank got an idea: to give these pieces out to his friends and friends of their friends, so they would cook something of it, select wines appropriate to their dishes, and get together at Frank's house to share with each other their Wild Game culinary creations. Moreover, Frank had turned it into a Culinary Contest, inviting a culinary judge…

It happened to be such a wonderful gathering that it turned into an annual “Frank Kreisz’s Wild Game Party” (WGP) on rotation hosted by the participating “cooks” every Sunday of the Victoria Day long weekend in May.
